AMS-IX operates interconnection platforms in Amsterdam and worldwide that play a crucial role in the internet and form one of the world's largest internet traffic hubs. The company is developing new products and services to build on its established position.
Responsibilities
•Maintain the quality of financial administration, coordinate the monthly close, and provide reliable financial reporting to the CFO
•Lead the finance team, allocate responsibilities, coach colleagues, and foster effective collaboration
•Develop and optimize processes and procedures, including the implementation of Exact Online, automation, and more efficient ways of working
•Support the CFO with financial matters, analyses, and decision-making, and collaborate with organizational stakeholders
•Ensure the quality and continuity of the finance function while remaining hands-on with figures, systems, and operational matters
•Review and improve processes and procedures to ensure they are properly designed and embedded
•Oversee financial control and reporting, maintain sound financial foundations, and work closely with the Business Controller
•Develop Finance so it increasingly supports the organization's continued development
Requirements
•Master's degree in Finance, (Business) Economics, or Accountancy
•More than 5 years of experience as a (Financial) Controller, Finance Manager, or in accountancy
•Strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting processes, including Dutch GAAP, and business acumen
•Strong affinity with IT and financial tools, and excellent Excel skills
•Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
•Able to build working relationships and credibility quickly, communicate clearly and concisely, and take a practical, no-nonsense approach
•Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to improve finance-related procedures and processes
•Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a broad formal and informal network
•Honest, committed, results-oriented team player with a collaborative approach
