Position Summary
The Enterprise Transformation Program Lead is an individual-contributor leadership role within the Business Transformation Office. You will own a major workstream of Cencora's multi-year, SAP and digital transformation, reporting to the Program Lead. You are accountable for scope, schedule, quality, and financial performance for your area, and you will oversee program management for the teams, partners, and projects in it. You will work closely with executive sponsors, business and functional leaders, IT, and system integrators to make sure your workstream is integrated with the rest of the program and delivers measurable business outcomes.
This role is a fit for someone who sets direction at the senior level and still builds the plan, reads the forecast, and works through the detail. Our teams are lean, and we need leaders who do both.
Key Responsibilities
Lead with ownership and authority:
•Own an assigned workstream of the enterprise program, with end-to-end accountability for outcomes, milestones, dependencies, and quality
•Provide program management leadership across the projects, workstream leads, and teams in your area; set expectations, hold people accountable, and remove blockers
•Lead senior business, IT, and functional stakeholders without relying on formal authority; challenge assumptions, trade-offs, and timelines constructively and recommend a path forward
•Hold system integrators and third-party partners accountable for scope, deliverables, cost, and performance
Own the money:
•Own the financial performance of a workstream budget: baseline, monthly and quarterly forecasts, actuals, accruals, and variance analysis
•Proactively identify budget risk, forecast changes, and cost pressure; bring options and recommendations to program leadership and Finance before issues escalate
•Manage vendor and SI spend, change requests, and contract and commercial discipline in partnership with Procurement and Legal
•Partner with Finance and the PMO to run repeatable financial processes that are audit-ready and stand up to internal and external audit
Drive integrated delivery:
•Build and maintain integrated plans, critical path, and dependency maps across business, IT, and partner teams, and keep them current
•Run risk, issue, and decision management; escalate critical items to the Program Lead with a clear recommendation
•Prepare and present clear, concise updates to program governance forums and executive steering committees
•Partner with change management and business leads so the workstream is operationally ready, adopted, and tied to business outcomes, not just technically delivered
What You Bring (Required)
•8+ years of program management experience, with at least 5 years leading large, complex, cross-functional transformation programs (ERP strongly preferred; SAP a plus)
•Active, hands-on budget ownership: direct accountability for a program or workstream budget, including building the forecast, managing actuals and accruals, explaining variances, and answering for the financial results
•Led a major workstream within an enterprise-wide ERP or other large-scale transformation, with multiple concurrent projects and teams
•Experience managing system integrators and third-party vendors, including scope, change control, and commercial performance
•Proven ability to lead and influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment, hold firm positions, and challenge constructively
•Strong executive communication skills, written and verbal, including steering committee reporting
•Bachelor's degree in business, technology, finance, or a related field
Preferred
•Experience with SAP S/4HANA, finance, supply chain, or order-to-cash transformation
•Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical distribution, life sciences, or another regulated, global environment
•Familiarity with change management, business readiness, and adoption planning
•PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or similar certification; MBA a plus
How You Will Be Successful
•Your workstream hits its milestones and quality targets, with risks surfaced early and decisions made quickly
•Your forecast is accurate, variances are explained, and leadership and Finance trust your numbers
•Business leaders, IT, and partners see you as a firm, fair leader who helps them make decisions
•Your area is integrated with the rest of the program and the business is ready to adopt what is delivered
