Be part of a new capability at Macquarie
Market Services is undertaking a greenfield rebuild of the post-trade lifecycle, re-architecting how trades are processed, validated, settled and reconciled across Commodities and Global Markets.
You'll be part of a team that is redefining how clients, counterparties and internal teams interact with the platform. This is a first-principles redesign of the digital interaction layer, delivered through a modern, API-enabled, event-driven platform with AI embedded at its core.
We are a global financial services group operating in 30 markets with 57 years of unbroken profitability. At Macquarie, you're empowered to shape a career that is fulfilling and creates value.
What role will you play?
As the Engineering Product Owner for digital channels, you will own the digital interaction strategy for Market Services, shaping how our platform is accessed, operated and experienced. You will set the product vision, roadmap, and target experience, ensuring interactions are structured, scalable, and integrated across the lifecycle.
You will transform operational channels by replacing manual processes with digital interfaces such as portals, APIs, structured workflows, and automation. This includes assessing and evolving existing capabilities to support a modern post-trade environment.
You will convert complex operations into intuitive, end-to-end digital workflows, tightly integrated with lifecycle orchestration, data platforms, and event-driven systems to enable straight-through processing and eliminate fragmentation.
You will embed AI at the core of interactions—driving intelligent routing, automation, and exception management while leading cross-functional teams to deliver reusable, scalable platform capabilities with long-term commercial value.
What you offer
•A strong engineering or technical background, combined with product ownership experience in engineering-led environments. You can engage deeply with engineers and shape both what gets built and why.
•Experience building digital platforms, workflow systems or software products, rather than solely managing product roadmaps or requirements.
•Strong understanding of APIs, system integration and event-driven architectures, including how applications exchange data, trigger actions and work together as part of a broader platform.
•Experience translating manual processes into engineered digital workflows and scalable, production-grade technology solutions.
•Confidence working with automation, AI agents or LLM-powered workflows and an interest in how these can be embedded into software products and engineering delivery.
•A builder mindset. You are comfortable getting into the technology with engineering teams, challenging existing approaches and helping turn ideas into working products.
•The ability to work across engineering, operations and other stakeholders, making pragmatic build-versus-extend decisions and prioritising for scalable outcomes.
What we offer
At Macquarie, you're empowered to shape a career that's rewarding in all the ways that matter most to you. Macquarie employees can access a wide range of benefits which, depending on employment type, include:
