Responsibilities
•Deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions that support growth decisions across acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention
•Partner with Marketing, Analytics, and Engineering to translate business needs into outcomes and drive adoption of trusted, self-serve data capabilities
•Lead system design for new capabilities and evolve production systems, including architecture, testing, observability, performance, and cost efficiency
•Balance operational responsibilities with building new solutions, using team SLOs to prioritize improvements
•Raise engineering standards through code reviews, design input, and hands-on support
•Influence standards and technology choices, focusing on simplicity, reusability, and maintainability
Requirements
•5+ Years of experience in a relevant data role
•Experience building and owning a data domain end-to-end, from source integration through models and metrics used by downstream teams
•Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
•Expertise in SQL and Python, robust data pipelines and models, and operating data at scale in warehouses or lakes such as Delta, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
•Strong focus on data quality, accuracy, and reliability
•Strong dbt proficiency and familiarity with Spark
•Understanding of data visualization and enablement using tools such as Looker, Tableau, and notebooks such as Jupyter
•Ability to prioritize, manage stakeholders, and translate business needs into clear technical plans and outcomes
•Proactive, customer-oriented, and comfortable owning projects end-to-end while balancing system health with new delivery
•Collaborative and mentoring-minded, with a commitment to sharing knowledge, raising standards through reviews, and helping the team succeed
•Uses modern AI tools to improve productivity while maintaining standards for quality, security, and governance
Nice to have
•Growth and marketing domain data products experience, experience in complex multi-stakeholder environments, Java or Scala, clean code, solid testing habits, pragmatic automation, delivered AI capabilities such as LLM-powered discovery, automated insight generation, natural-language data access, or semantic layer solutions
