Gartner

Data Analytics Lead - Power Platform & Copilot Solutions Architect

In short

This role architects and delivers Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot Studio solutions at Gartner Consulting, building both internal tools and client-facing solutions. It spans hands-on solution building (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI, Copilot Studio agents, integrations), client-facing delivery leadership, and Power Platform governance/ALM administration. It requires 5–7 years of hands-on Power Platform experience, strong generative AI/Copilot Studio knowledge, integration and Azure experience, plus experience leading small delivery teams and strong stakeholder communication skills.

About the Role
Gartner Consulting partners with clients to solve their most critical business and technology challenges through collaborative problem solving, and increasingly delivers production-grade solutions alongside its advisory work. We are looking for a hands-on Power Platform & Copilot Solutions Architect to own the architecture and delivery of Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot solutions – both internal assets used by Gartner consulting associates and client-facing solutions deployed in client environments.
This is an all-rounder role: you will articulate solution value to clients, design and build the architecture yourself, lead delivery in client engagements, and guide Power Platform engineers to deliver. You will enhance existing Gartner solutions and build new ones.
What You Will Do
Client Engagement & Solutioning
•Work with clients and Gartner consultants to understand business problems and translate them into clear, practical solution designs.
•Communicate solution value to business and technical stakeholders; support pre-sales through demos, solution approaches, effort estimates and proposal inputs.
•Lead discovery workshops and convert outcomes into requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Architecture & Hands-on Build
•Architect and build solutions using Model-driven and Canvas Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint and Power BI.
•Design and build Copilot Studio agents (generative orchestration, topics, tools, knowledge/RAG, autonomous triggers, multi-agent patterns) and Microsoft 365 Copilot declarative agents.
•Deliver integrations using REST/OData APIs, custom and HTTP connectors with Microsoft Entra ID authentication, and Azure services; extend with JavaScript and C# plugins where needed.
•Understand, maintain and evolve existing Gartner assets, and create reusable components and patterns across engagements.
Delivery Leadership
•Lead the end-to-end delivery lifecycle in client engagements – planning, estimation, sprint delivery, testing/UAT, deployment, hypercare and handover.
•Guide, review and mentor Power Platform engineers; set design and development standards and conduct solution reviews.
•Manage scope, risks and dependencies; provide clear status updates to engagement leaders and client stakeholders.
Governance, ALM & Platform Administration
•Administer and govern Power Platform via the Power Platform Admin Center – environment strategy, Managed Environments, DLP policies, security roles, capacity and licensing.
•Own ALM: managed/unmanaged solutions, connection references, environment variables and Power Platform Pipelines/Azure DevOps across DEV, QA and Production.
•Set up monitoring and adoption tracking using Copilot Studio analytics, Azure Application Insights, and Copilot Studio Kit; embed security and responsible AI practices.
What You Will Need
Must Have
•5–7 years of overall experience, with hands-on Microsoft Power Platform delivery.
•Strong expertise in Power Apps (Model-driven and Canvas), Power Automate, Dataverse (data modelling, security, business rules) and Power BI.
•Hands-on Copilot Studio experience, including generative AI concepts such as LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, knowledge sources and agent evaluation/testing.
•Experience with Power Platform administration, governance, environment management and ALM/deployment pipelines.
•Integration experience with REST APIs, custom connectors, Microsoft Entra ID (app registrations, authentication) and Azure services.
•Experience leading small delivery teams and owning end-to-end delivery of client or enterprise projects.
•Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business and technology and explain solutions simply to senior audiences.
Good to Have
•Microsoft certifications such as PL-600, PL-400 or PL-200; Azure AI certifications are a plus.
•Experience with Azure OpenAI / Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Fabric or Databricks.
•Pro-code skills in JavaScript, C# (.NET) or TypeScript for Dataverse plugins and client-side extensions.
•Prior consulting or professional services experience, or exposure to AI strategy and governance solutions.
