Vacancy: Concept Artist / 2D Artist
Salary: based on interview results
Location: Remote
Employee qualifications: Junior, Middle
Employment: Part-time
Employer: Cherry Electra
Description:
We are working on Myrhorod — a narrative point-and-click adventure inspired by dark Ukrainian folklore.
We are looking for an artist who can do more than create individual concepts. We need someone who can help us build a cohesive visual language for the game by defining its principles of colour, shape, perspective, lighting, stylisation and controlled visual distortion.
What you will do:
•Develop concepts for environments, architecture, props and characters;
•Translate narrative and gameplay ideas into clear visual solutions;
•Create mood studies, keyframes, paintovers and references for other artists;
•Help develop and organise the project's Art Bible;
•Work directly with the game director on the visual direction of Myrhorod.
What we are looking for:
•A relevant portfolio;
•A strong understanding of composition, colour, lighting and visual storytelling;
•The ability to explain your artistic decisions;
•An interest in folklore, surrealism and atmospheric narrative games;
•Availability for approximately 10+ hours per week.
Commercial experience is not required — we welcome personal projects, student work and visual experiments.
