Entity and activity description
Air Liquide Spatial Guyane (ALSG) is a subsidiary of the Air Liquide group, integrated at the heart of the Guiana Space Centre (CSG). Its main mission is to produce the cryogenic fluids (hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, as well as compressed air and helium) needed for the propulsion of Ariane and Vega launchers.
ALSG also supplies, on request, all the gases needed by partners present on the launch pad.
In addition, ALSG holds a system responsibility consisting of supervising the complete cryogenic maintenance of a set of equipment and all conventional and cryogenic fluid hoses.
As part of the CSG's energy transition roadmap, significant investments are being made by ALSG.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
MISSIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Deputy Project Manager position is based in Kourou, reporting to ALSG's head of projects.
You will work on the development and commissioning of energy transition projects, including a new gaseous hydrogen production unit using an electrolyzer and a conditioning center.
You will work closely with the operational teams of the production site, as well as with various entities of the Air Liquide group and the Guiana Space Centre (ESA, CNES, ArianeGroup, etc.).
As deputy, you will have the opportunity to work on the following tasks:
•Contribute to the monitoring and execution of ongoing projects (planning, costs, works, reporting…)
•Prepare the transfer phase of new equipment to operations (operational procedures)
•Ensure control of deliverables for the various projects
•Collaborate with the various local teams (production, maintenance, safety)
•Participate in updating installation documentation
•Implement new equipment in the maintenance tools (CMMS)
•Carry out certain priority projects
You will be supported by your manager and the operational teams on technical and safety aspects specific to the Air Liquide group's and the Space Centre's installations.
The diversity of the on-site installations will offer you in-depth training on numerous processes. Moreover, the multiple high-stakes subjects will provide a concrete opportunity to demonstrate your ability to take on responsibilities.
This experience will also be an opportunity to discover the Air Liquide group at one of its most emblematic sites, as well as the world of European space activity in step with the Ariane 6 and Vega C programs, in an exceptional setting and cultural context.
