Blackmont Consulting Tbilisi Branch

Business development

In short

This is an unpaid, remote business development internship at an advisory firm, requiring around 5 hours per week managing your own client pipeline from prospecting to signed agreements. It targets students and recent graduates comfortable with cold outreach, persistent follow-up, and client-facing communication, with no prior experience required. Strong performers can progress to a Business Development Manager role and receive mentorship and a recommendation letter.

About the Role
Blackmont Consulting is an advisory firm, not a full-service execution provider. We may get hands-on with part of a client's process to test or improve an approach, but we don't typically run a client's operations end-to-end on their behalf. This is a hands-on, performance-driven internship, not a passive or observational one. You'll own your own pipeline from prospecting through to signed agreements: researching potential clients, reaching out and following up, developing tailored proposals, and coordinating with your manager along the way.
Responsibilities
•Researching potential clients
•Reaching out and following up
•Developing tailored proposals
•Coordinating with your manager along the way
•Take ownership of your pipeline and don't let rejection slow you down
•Consistent follow-through, so nothing falls through the cracks
•Attend onboarding and weekly team meetings, and keep your manager updated
Requirements
•Around 5 hours per week
•Reply to team communications within 48 hours
•Close at least one client project per month (your first may reasonably take 5–7 weeks)
•Treat this internship with the same professionalism as a paid role
•Self-driven & resilient
•Strong communicator: organised, detail-oriented, and clear in your outreach
•Persistent & process-disciplined
•Curious & collaborative: a genuine interest in the work and in learning from the team
•Independent & outreach-ready: comfortable with cold outreach
Nice to Have
•Prior sales experience
Conditions
•Strong CV value: real, client-facing experience with actual companies, not mock exercises.
•Hands-on from day one: run real client conversations and navigate real objections.
•A path to promotion: strong performers can progress to Business Development Manager.
•A real network: direct access to fellow interns, managers, and consultants.
•Direct mentorship: ongoing feedback, plus shared learning in weekly team meetings.
•A strong recommendation letter: a realistic outcome for interns who perform well.
•This is a voluntary, unpaid internship designed for students and recent graduates seeking hands-on experience while working in a global, remote organisation.
