What you will do
•Design and build production ML services, including APIs, microservices, and real-time systems.
•Lead, mentor, and grow a backend engineering team through planning, code reviews, technical guidance, and engineering best practices.
•Drive architecture for scalable, reliable, maintainable, low-latency, and high-load ML-powered systems.
•Integrate ML models into user-facing applications and define serving, versioning, and production-monitoring practices.
•Own the delivery pipeline of ML features and collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists, DevOps, and MLOps teams.
•Identify and eliminate bottlenecks between ML experimentation and production.
Requirements
•5+ years of backend or software engineering experience in a Lead or Senior role, including mentoring, ownership, and technical decision-making.
•Strong commercial Python experience.
•Managerial experience leading an engineering team.
•Experience designing and building production backend systems and microservice architectures.
•Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and high-load systems.
•Experience developing APIs with FastAPI, Flask, gRPC, or similar technologies.
•Hands-on experience with code reviews, mentoring, and technical decision-making.
•Ability to drive cross-team collaboration and own complex technical integrations.
Nice to have
•Experience with real-time ML systems such as recommendations, ranking, or personalization.
•Experience in video streaming or high-throughput platforms.
•Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud or on-premises environments.
•Experience with feature stores, model monitoring, or A/B testing.
•Experience working alongside MLOps platforms such as MLflow or Airflow.

Hiring process
•HR interview: 45 minutes.
•Technical interview: 90 minutes, followed by a 90-minute live code-review interview.
