As a Backend Engineer, you will work in one of the product teams by providing services and solutions that would help millions of users.
Responsibilities
•Lead technical direction within your product team, architecting scalable solutions that support millions of users.
•Work closely together with the team to analyze problems and define hypotheses to solve them, even being able to propose solutions with ambiguity.
•Validate hypotheses through iterative solutions, experimentation, and a fail-fast culture.
•Be a driver of technical evolution within the Backend community, identifying and introducing emerging technologies and best practices from the industry to continuously raise the engineering bar across the organization.
•Align between several teams to provide solutions that could fit all stakeholders at the right moment.
•Mentor other engineers, lead technical design reviews, and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
•Take ownership of cross-team initiatives, bridging the gap between product strategy and technical implementation.
•Think beyond the backend: understanding the full end-to-end product experience and ensuring technical decisions are grounded in business and user impact.
•Drive technical initiatives end-to-end, from problem definition to delivery, with a high level of ownership and attention to detail.
•Own the technical vision: simplifying architecture, reducing accidental complexity, and ensuring every technical decision is grounded in business alignment and long-term engineering excellence.
•Cross-Team Collaboration: strong communication skills with a proven ability to align multiple engineering teams.

Requirements
•8+ years of experience in backend development, with significant experience in high-scale distributed systems.
•Deep experience in system architecture, microservices design patterns, and performance optimization.
•Experience building microservices (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud).
•Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g. Lambda, S3, RDS) in production environments.
•Experience with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, ECS, Docker Swarm.
•Experience with streaming processing tools like Kafka.
•Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana), including defining alerting strategies and SLOs.
•Experience with CI/CD tools.
•Good development practices (SOLID, testing), security care, and proficiency in building well-tested code.
•Experience working with Agile frameworks (Scrum).
•Fluency in Spanish and English.
