We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable (ARAP) product team. If you want to help us make self-employment a little easier, Holvi is for you.
Responsibilities
•As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll help shape the future of our ARAP platform as part of a cross-functional team
•You'll work closely with engineers, Product and Design, taking ideas from customer or business needs through solution design, implementation and safely into production
•Most of your work will be on the backend, with Python and Django at the core of our stack
•But we build products, not isolated backend components, so we'd love to find someone comfortable occasionally crossing into our frontend clients when that's the best way to get something done
•Engineers help shape solutions, not just implement specifications
Requirements
•Have solid senior-level software engineering experience and can take ownership of technically demanding work
•Have strong backend skills with Python and Django, or substantial experience with a comparable framework and the ability to get productive with Django quickly
•Can refine requirements and develop solutions collaboratively and iteratively
•Take ownership and push your work forward
•Are willing to occasionally work outside the backend, including making changes to frontend clients when needed
•Use, or are ready to actively use, AI-assisted development tools and workflows
•Communicate clearly and in plain language
•Are fluent in spoken and written English
•Have experience in fintech or financial services, particularly payment processing, invoicing, accounting or bookkeeping systems
