Veriff

Technical product manager in biometric authentication

In short

This senior technical product manager role owns Biometric Authentication at Veriff, an identity verification platform used by major marketplaces and fintechs, leading a cross-functional squad of ML, engineering, and design. It requires ~5+ years of product management experience, a technical background in distributed systems and ML, and experience in fintech, marketplace, or authentication/security products. The role is fully remote and demands comfort operating in a fast-paced scale-up environment with high ambiguity.

About: Veriff is building the foundational trust layer of the internet, empowering people to safely and privately prove they are who they say they are. Our identity verification platform powers onboarding and authentication for some of the world's largest marketplaces, fintechs, and platforms. Biometric Authentication is our second-largest product, and it's how we move customers from one-time identity checks to continuous, lifecycle-long trust.
Responsibilities:
•Take primary ownership of Biometric Authentication: strategy, roadmap, and execution — across a cross-functional squad of ML, engineering, and design.
•Pick up a revenue, adoption, or conversion metric, diagnose the gap, and design the customer research and process changes to close it alongside sales and GTM.
•Reason about trade-offs in cost, conversion, and latency against live enterprise contracts, in real production conditions, on a regular basis.
•Turn enterprise customer feedback into a prioritized, defensible roadmap.
•Track the biometric and identity landscape and shape packaging and pricing grounded in real unit economics.
•Get to independent operation within ~60 days and start clearing the highest-impact work early.
Requirements:
•A technical background and fluent with technical systems: distributed transactional systems, machine learning, operational metrics, COGS, and SDK delivery.
•Experience thriving in a scale-up: high ambiguity, fast pace, and challenging environments.
•Strong understanding of B2B2C user experience: fluency in the end-user experience inside a business product.
•~5+ years of product management experience.
•Experience in fintech or marketplace products.
•Background in authentication, security, or identity.
•Previous Software Engineering / Data Science development experience.
Nice to have:
•Ability to program (you won't be building ML models, but you should be able to query, debug, and do root cause analysis independently).
Benefits:
•Flexibility to work from home
•Stock options that ensure your share in our success
•Extra recharge days on top of your annual vacation
•Extensive medical, dental, and vision insurance to ensure you're feeling great physically and mentally
•Learning and Development & Health and Sports budget that you are free to tailor to your own needs
•Four weeks of fully paid sabbatical leave after reaching your 5th work anniversary
