Surfacing & Grinding Technician (Precision Grinding)

In short

This is an onsite precision grinding technician role at a manufacturing company producing advanced systems for automotive, aerospace, and defense customers, based in Long Beach or Torrance, California. The job involves setting up and operating vertical-spindle and Blanchard-style rotary surface grinders, reading engineering drawings and GD&T, and holding tolerances of ±0.0005 inch or tighter using precision measuring tools. It demands hands-on surface grinding experience, knowledge of abrasive machining and shop mathematics, and the ability to troubleshoot grinding process problems; experience with aerospace materials, CNC grinding equipment, and quality systems like AS9100 or ISO 9001 is a plus.
