Stage UX/UI Design

In short

This is a graduation internship (UX/UI research) for a CMD/HCI/Information Design student, at a company building the Regiesysteem — software municipalities and care institutions use to coordinate support for vulnerable residents. The intern researches user needs among different types of case management users and translates findings into UX advice and initial UI concepts/prototypes, working closely with the Product Design team and Product Owner. It requires strong UX research skills, user testing experience, and fluent Dutch, with hybrid work in Amsterdam-Duivendrecht.

Graduation Internship UX/UI – xxllnc Regiesysteem
Are you a UX/UI student with a passion for unraveling complex user processes? Can you map out user needs like no one else and translate this into concrete solutions? Do you want to make a real impact with your graduation research? You will work on software that is used daily by municipalities to support residents in vulnerable positions.
About the role
The Regiesysteem is a valuable product that we continuously want to improve. To ensure the software keeps perfectly matching daily operations, we clearly map out the wishes and needs of our users. With your expertise and insights, we determine which functionalities get priority and how we shape the future of the Regiesysteem.
As a Graduation Intern UX/UI, you will dive deep into the world of the different types of Regie users. You will research how users can be optimally supported in using the Regiesysteem. Your research results form the direct basis and advice for our product team to prepare Regie for the future.
About the application
Xxllnc's Regiesysteem is an application that helps municipalities and care institutions conduct integrated case management within the social domain. By bringing together all relevant information and involved chain partners in one place, a clear picture of the resident or household emerges. This prevents residents from having to repeat their story over and over and prevents agencies from working past each other. This way, the software ensures faster, more effective and people-oriented support, giving residents perspective again.
About you
You are a curious and analytical CMD student who can pull trusted software or a mature application into the future. You are strong in interviewing users and translating research data into a clear, advisory concept.
Your tasks include, among others:
•Conducting research: You precisely map out where the needs of case managers lie in carrying out their daily work.
•Problem and process analysis: You analyze current bottlenecks within the software and clearly map out the user process.
•Advising and designing: Based on your findings, you work out possible scenarios conceptually and visually, so that the software optimally supports our users in the future.
•Collaborating with experts: As part of the Product Design team with experienced designers, you work closely with the Product Owner and the developers, presenting and aligning your insights.
What do you bring?
You have a proactive attitude, are communicatively skilled, and know how to make complex matters understandable for various stakeholders.
In addition, you have:
•You are following a relevant higher professional education (hbo) or university (wo) program (such as Communication & Multimedia Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design or similar);
•Demonstrable knowledge of UX research methods, user testing, and strong analytical ability;
•The ability to translate research results into clear advice and initial UI concepts/prototypes;
•An independent and curious work attitude;
•You are available on short notice for a graduation or research internship;
Fluency in Dutch, both spoken and written, is a must for this position.
Our promises
