Softgoods Product Design Engineer
About the Role
You will own the lifecycle of softgoods components from initial concept through mass production. You will design textiles, foams, and elastomers; validate safety and durability; create testing fixtures; improve manufacturability and yield; meet cost targets; and qualify materials and manufacturing partners.
Requirements
•5–10 years of experience
•Bachelor of Science in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
•Portfolio showcasing professional, personal, and passion projects
Responsibilities
•Own softgoods components from concept through mass production
•Deliver tactile components that meet defined feel and finish standards
•Ensure safety and durability requirements are met through qualification and validation testing
•Own testing and fixtures
•Drive design for manufacturability and cost targets
•Qualify materials and manufacturing partners
