Kurppa Hosk

Social Media Strategist

In short

Junior social media strategist role for gaming accounts at Kurppa Hosk, a brand and communication agency in Stockholm. Covers community and creator monitoring, day-to-day social publishing, first-line moderation, analytics reporting, competitor tracking, and building client presentations. Requires about 1–2 years of relevant experience in social media/community management/content for games, native fluency across platforms like Reddit, Discord, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, X and Steam, and eligibility to work in Sweden. Onsite, full-time position at the company's Stockholm office.

Have you seen first-hand what a patch note does to a subreddit? Have you turned community feedback into something a studio acted on? Are you ready to take more ownership of the strategy behind it? This might be your next role.
Responsibilities
You'll take ownership of defined tasks on our gaming accounts, helping video game clients understand their players and communities, and turn that understanding into content and social strategy. You'll work closely with our senior gaming and content strategists, building on the experience you bring with our strategic tools and methods.
•Own community and creator monitoring for your accounts, and turn what you find into clear takeaways for the team
•Run parts of day-to-day social publishing, from content calendars to scheduling
•Run first-line monitoring in reactive moments, flag issues early, and draft responses for review
•Pull and report social analytics, and explain what moved the numbers
•Track competitor games and launches, and turn what you find into player insight
•Build research and slides for client presentations, and present your findings to the team
Requirements
You might have moderated a community, made content, modded, played competitively, or written about games. What matters most is that you live in gaming culture, have opinions on what works and what doesn't, and are curious about player behavior beyond your own favorite genres.
•Around 1–2 years of relevant experience in social media, community management, content, or research, at a studio, an agency, or in-house
•Examples of gaming work you've done: content, community management, reporting, or analysis
•Native fluency in Reddit, Discord, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, X, and Steam
•A solid understanding of content formats and creators in gaming, and confidence with social analytics
•Experience with social listening or publishing tools is a plus
•Fluent in English; additional languages (including Swedish) are a plus
•Eligibility to work in Sweden

How to apply
Send us your resume and a short letter introducing your background. In it, cover two things:
•Tell us about a time you turned community feedback, from a subreddit, Discord, or comment section, into an actionable takeaway or piece of content. What was the result?
•Pick a game launch or update from the last year. What did its community and social activity get right or wrong, and what would you have done differently?
Keep the letter to one A4 page at most. We're reading for how you think, not how much you write — so give us your own thinking, in your own voice. We'd much rather read something genuinely yours than something perfectly polished by AI. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until November 6, 2026.
