Responsibilities
•Build and maintain platform solutions that improve the reliability, security, and scalability of Database Platform infrastructure
•Apply cloud infrastructure, networking, and CI/CD best practices to support operational data storage solutions
•Collaborate with Product Teams to facilitate database provisioning and operational efficiency
•Participate in technical discussions and contribute to documentation
•Contribute to the team roadmap by delivering code and infrastructure improvements
•Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshooting
•Maintain and enhance observability solutions for platform SLOs and availability targets
Requirements
•Hands-on experience maintaining cloud infrastructure, particularly in AWS
•Practical experience with operational data storage solutions such as PostgreSQL, Amazon RDS, and S3
•Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS
•Proficiency in infrastructure as code, such as Terraform or CloudFormation
•Competence in at least one programming language; Python is preferred
•Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins
•Familiarity with cloud networking and security best practices
•Familiarity with observability tools such as DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry
•Strong collaboration and communication skills and ability to work across teams
•Ownership, proactive problem-solving, and process improvement
•Passion for building high-quality, scalable, and secure infrastructure
•Eagerness to learn and contribute to building platforms as products
Nice to have
•Knowledge of database internals, performance tuning, high-availability architecture, replication, failover, sharding, clustering
•Backend Engineer experience
