Role Summary
We are looking for a high-performing Senior Freight Forwarder to support our growing business. As a Freight Forwarder (Import / Export) you are responsible for the implementation and coordination of shipments in accordance with the companies' guidelines and the wishes of the customer.
Key Responsibilities
•Onboard / Implement new clients in the Shared Service Center in Bratislava
•Stakeholder management to local branches, but also with external clients.
•Transportation planning and booking activities for ocean including capacity planning, shipment planning, carrier selection, routing, scheduling and tendering.
•Complete and review shipping (and customs) documentation
•Monitor shipments and customs clearance status; resolve shipment exceptions and complications if they arise.
•Track and monitor customer, and organization logistics KPIs and cost performance.
Requirements
•3+ years of experience within logistics
•Excellent knowledge about Freight Forwarding Export and Import processes
•Knowledge on Ocean Freight is key; Airfreight knowledge is an advantage
•Knowledge of regulatory (export) policies
•Ability to define and document processes
•Ability to coach processes to colleagues
•Excellent communication skills in English, additional European languages are an advantage
•Excellent skills on Microsoft Office tools
