About the team
The SPM Platform team builds and maintains the core services that power SAP Incentive Management and the broader Sales Performance Management (SPM) portfolio. One of the flagships of our work is Advanced Workflow, a highly flexible, multi-tenant web platform for business process automation. It's not just another ticketing tool — it's a configurable engine that adapts to the process, not the other way around.
Alongside Advanced Workflow, the team owns the foundation everything else runs on: the shared platform capabilities and backend services that Incentive Management and the rest of the SPM applications lean on. This is the plumbing that makes sure millions of people are paid correctly and on time, which means it has to be reliable, fast, and secure before anything built on top of it can be.
The work spans flexible, high-scale front-end platforms and backend-heavy services at real scale. Technologies used include Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Node.js, AngularJS, Redis, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
