Responsibilities
•Design and new development of features within the PRADA service landscape using modern Python frameworks
•Continuous development, refactoring, and performance optimization of the existing microservice architecture
•Design, implementation, and documentation of performant and scalable API interfaces
•Promoting cross-functional collaboration: close coordination with the frontend team for seamless integration of endpoints, as well as collaboration with the data engineers
•Ensuring code quality through unit and integration tests, as well as code reviews
Requirements
•Completed university degree in computer science or comparable training
•More than 5 years of professional experience in backend development
•Design and implementation of REST API interfaces, especially FastAPI and Django (web frameworks)
•In-depth knowledge of asynchronous communication patterns, e.g. RabbitMQ
•Experience in software architecture, e.g. 3-tier architecture, hexagonal architecture, and clean architecture
•Routine in working with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
•Experience working with Kubernetes container technologies
•Strong knowledge of working methods in an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban)
•Very good spoken and written German

•The starting salary is generally between €87,700 and €113,150 gross per year; the exact amount is determined based on criteria such as qualifications, area of responsibility, and the requirements of the position. Justified deviations may be possible on a case-by-case basis.
