eClear AG offers EU-wide customs and VAT clearing as an embedded checkout solution for marketplaces and digital platforms in e-commerce. Our cloud-based solutions automate and significantly simplify all tax, customs and payment processes in cross-border online trade.
Responsibilities
•Lead the design and development of robust, scalable backend services based on Python.
•Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices for reliable and flexible applications.
•Design, implement and maintain efficient data pipelines and processing workflows.
•Work hands-on with complex datasets and transform raw data into meaningful, useful insights.
•Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to translate ideas into working, practical solutions.
•Ensure high code quality through reviews, tests and proven engineering practices.
•Take responsibility for the entire process: monitor, analyze and optimize systems, and pragmatically and hands-on resolve short-term challenges when needed.
Requirements
•Master's degree in computer science, data science or a related field, as well as at least 5 years of practical professional experience.
•Very good knowledge of Python and the ability to develop and continuously improve production-ready systems.
•Extensive experience with REST APIs, microservices architectures and modern backend design.
•Good understanding of data pipelines, data processing and working with databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Neo4j).
•Experience with cloud platforms (AWS is an advantage).
•Proactive, solution-oriented mindset, strong communication skills and the ability to work in dynamic environments (German language skills at B2 level required).
