Project manager in blockchain

In short

Junior Project Manager role supporting the Keet engine team, which builds the core peer-connection, data replication, and sync infrastructure for a distributed open-source app. The job involves tracking sprints and releases, running async stand-ups and retrospectives, coordinating between engineering/UI/QA teams, and writing status updates and documentation. Requires 1–2 years of project coordination experience, strong written English, and comfort working with engineers in a fully remote, async-first, globally distributed team; no salary or specific conditions are disclosed.

About the Role
The Keet engine team works on the core that makes Keet tick: connecting peers, replicating data, syncing rooms, and keeping calls and file transfers fast and reliable across every kind of network. We're looking for an organized, curious Junior Project Manager to help keep that work moving. You'll work closely with a globally distributed team of senior engineers, help turn priorities into clear plans, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks between releases. This is a great role for someone early in their career who wants to grow into technical project or product management in a deeply technical, open-source environment.
Responsibilities
•Track engine work across sprints and releases, keeping issues, milestones, and roadmaps current
•Run or support stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives across time zones (mostly async)
•Coordinate between the engine team, Keet app/UI developers, and QA so dependencies are visible early
•Write clear status updates, release notes, and meeting summaries
•Help triage bug reports and user feedback, and route them to the right engineers
•Spot risks and blockers early and help the team resolve them
•Keep internal documentation and processes tidy and easy to follow
Requirements
•1–2 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or a similar role (internships and open-source involvement count)
•Excellent written English communication; you can explain technical progress clearly and concisely
•Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and follow-through
•Comfortable working with engineers and learning technical concepts quickly
•Experience with issue trackers and project tools (e.g. GitHub Issues/Projects, Jira, Linear)
•Self-starter who thrives in a fully remote, async-first team
Nice to Have
•Basic understanding of networking or distributed systems concepts (P2P, DHTs, NAT traversal, replication)
•Familiarity with software development lifecycles, Git, and release processes
•Some exposure to JavaScript/Node.js or experience working alongside a dev team
•Interest in privacy, decentralization, or open-source software
•Agile/Scrum knowledge or a certification (PSM, CAPM, etc.)
•Experience working across many time zones
