The job involves owning delivery of cross-functional programs spanning AI strategy execution, engineering tooling, process transformation, compliance, and platform migration, with high visibility at CPTO and senior leadership level. Requires 6+ years of program/project management experience, strong stakeholder management skills in a matrixed organization, and outstanding executive communication.

WHAT MAKES US, US

If you are an innovative, curious, collaborative person who embraces challenges and wants to grow, learn and pursue outcomes with our prestigious financial clients, say Hello to SimCorp! At its foundation, SimCorp is guided by our values — caring, customer success-driven, collaborative, curious, and courageous. Our people-centered organization focuses on skills development, relationship building, and client success. We take pride in cultivating an environment where all team members can grow, feel heard, valued, and empowered.
WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
Product Development at SimCorp is building a Strategic Program Management capability from the ground up. We are a 3,000-person fintech on a mission to be the world's leading investment management platform, and Product Development, our largest organizational unit with around 1,600 people, is where the work gets done. Programs and projects of real strategic consequence are already in motion. This role sits within the Strategy & Transformation team, working directly alongside the Senior Director of Strategy & Execution. You will help drive a portfolio of cross-functional programs and projects spanning AI strategy execution, engineering tooling, process transformation, compliance, and platform migration. The work is varied, consequential, and visible at the most senior levels. If you are a hands-on program manager who thrives on complexity, builds structure in ambiguous environments, and gets things done across a matrixed organization by building trust and collaborating across teams, this is your role.
Responsibilities
•Own delivery of a defined set of cross-functional programs and projects from the Product Development portfolio, with full accountability for outcomes, milestones, risks, and stakeholder communication.
•Role model, define and drive how Strategic Program Management operates inside Product Development, with regard to standards, tools, and ways of working.
•Coach and assist colleagues leading programs and projects in PD.
•Coordinate across Product Management, Platform, and Application Engineering to resolve cross-functional dependencies and keep delivery on track and aligned to strategic goals.
•Partner with Change & Organizational Development and the wider organization where programs require shifts in ways of working or organizational behavior.
•The current portfolio of initiatives spans AI transformation, platform migration and tooling, delivery model transformation, change of ways of working, and compliance and risk governance. These are live initiatives with delivery pressure, cross-unit dependencies, and direct visibility at CPTO and senior leadership level. Initiatives vary in scale and complexity, and the mix evolves with Product Development's strategic priorities.
Requirements
You are an experienced, hands-on and pragmatic program manager who combines structured thinking with the interpersonal confidence to drive accountability in a matrixed organization. You know that getting things done in a matrixed organization depends on understanding what other teams need, not just what you need from them. That takes investment in relationships, not just process, and you invest in both. You are comfortable holding multiple programs or projects simultaneously, switching between strategic and operational thinking as the situation demands. You produce crisp updates and governance material, and you escalate early rather than late. The combination of technical tooling, AI strategy, process optimization, and compliance work in this portfolio does not intimidate you. You do not need to be the subject matter expert. You need to be the person who ensures the right people are in the room and the work moves forward in a collaborative way. Ambiguity and competing demands do not unsettle you. You find the practical path and bring people with you.
WHAT WE VALUE
•6+ years in program or project management roles, ideally with some years within a technology or product development organization.
•Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple workstreams and senior stakeholder engagement.
•Experience across both structured program management (governance, planning, risk management) and delivery-focused project execution.
•Experience building or improving program management practices, governance, and ways of working that teams and senior leaders use.
•Familiarity with engineering tooling environments and the ability to coordinate technical migrations or platform implementations without being the technical lead.
•Experience with compliance-related programs (GDPR, RoPA, ERM) is a plus.
•Outstanding written and verbal communication. You produce crisp executive material and inspire confidence in senior leadership forums.
•A direct, structured, and collaborative working style. You build alignment without softening the hard conversations.
•Degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
•Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is a plus.

In addition to the traditional benefit scheme, SimCorp provides a good work and work-life balance: flexible working hours and a hybrid model, and opportunities for professional development with an individual approach to support the direction you want to take.
