Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Product Designer to join a growing technology team, helping to design and develop a new suite of digital products within a greenfield environment. This is a hands-on role requiring strong UI design skills, with particular emphasis on visual design, user interfaces and design systems. You will take ownership of the end-to-end design process, creating intuitive user experiences and high-quality visual designs while helping to establish consistent design standards across the platform.
Responsibilities
•Lead the end-to-end design of digital products, covering UI design.
•Create high-quality visual designs, user interfaces, wireframes and interactive prototypes.
•Develop and maintain design systems, reusable UI components and consistent visual design patterns.
•Translate complex user and business requirements into intuitive, visually engaging digital experiences.
•Take ownership of design activities, working independently within a small product and technology team.
•Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital products.
•Produce detailed, high-fidelity designs and specifications ready for development.
•Ensure consistency in visual design, accessibility, usability and responsive interfaces.
•Contribute to the development of design standards and best practices across the platform.
Requirements
•Significant experience as a Lead Product Designer, Senior Product Designer or Senior UX/UI Designer.
•Excellent visual and UI design skills, supported by a strong portfolio of delivered digital products.
•Strong UX design experience, including user journeys, wireframing, interaction design and prototyping.
•Proven experience creating, developing or working extensively with design systems and component libraries.
•Advanced Figma skills, including component creation, variants, auto layout and interactive prototyping.
•Experience delivering end-to-end product design, from initial concepts through to final UI designs.
•Ability to work independently, manage priorities and take ownership of design deliverables.
•Experience collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams.
•Good understanding of accessibility, responsive design and modern digital design standards.
Nice to have
•Experience designing digital products within greenfield environments.
•Background working in small, agile product and design teams.
•Experience designing complex platforms or enterprise applications.
•Understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML and CSS.
Conditions
•£650 per day (Inside IR35)
•6 months initial contract
