About Immersion
At Immersion, we combine VR, AR, AI and game engine technology to create solutions that address real needs in education, healthcare, defence, uniformed services training and services. We design virtual training simulations, advanced therapeutic programmes, interactive learning platforms and product presentations that engage users and open up entirely new opportunities for development. Our team already numbers over 100 people. We work mainly with clients from the USA, which gives us a unique opportunity to deliver projects with a global reach and a high degree of innovation.
Responsibilities
•Managing VR projects from the initial concept through to delivering the product to end users.
•Ensuring the quality of the VR experience at every stage of production: from mechanics and gamification, through user comfort and reducing motion sickness, to performance optimisation on headsets and accessibility.
•Making product decisions on behalf of Immersion and translating the client's business goals into user stories with clear acceptance criteria and specific tasks the team can take on immediately.
•Managing the backlog and priorities in line with the client's needs and planning the team's work in subsequent sprints.
•Building relationships with the team and the client's stakeholders and recognising their needs before they turn into change requests for the project.
•Negotiating scope and priorities with the client, communicating constraints diplomatically and escalating decisions beyond your authority to the Management Board.
•Preparing project budgets and pre-sales estimates for new projects and scope changes, in collaboration with the leads responsible for delivering the work.
•Creating and updating schedules, identifying risks early and planning mitigation measures.
•Coordinating the delivery of subsequent product versions: preparing builds for handover, delivering them to the client and verifying versions running on their headsets.
•Creating, coordinating and updating project documentation for the team and the client.
•Developing estimation, planning and risk management standards at Immersion and supporting other Project Managers in applying them.
•Occasionally participating in recruitment processes.
Requirements
•At least 7 years of experience as a Project Manager, Producer or Product Owner, including at least 4 years on VR projects developed in Unity or Unreal Engine.
•Experience managing products from concept to release and can talk about titles you have delivered, your role and how the work was carried out.
•Knowledge of game production from the inside, with experience working day to day with programmers, 3D and 2D artists, Technical Artists, QA testers, sound engineers, translators and outsourcing partners.
•Knowledge of the specifics of VR production: Meta Quest platform requirements, the hardware limitations of standalone headsets and their impact on project scope.
•Ability to design VR experiences with user comfort, accessibility and gamification in mind.
•Experience managing projects for external clients in an outsourcing or partnership model.
•Ability to translate business requirements into clear user stories and specific tasks for the team.
•Practical experience working with a chosen Agile methodology: managing the product backlog and sprint backlog and facilitating ceremonies.
•Experience budgeting projects and preparing pre-sales estimates.
•Experience implementing project standards—templates, rules or processes used by other team members.
•Willingness and ability to use AI tools in daily work.
•English at C1 level, spoken and written: able to confidently lead meetings and negotiations with an English-speaking client and prepare documentation for them.
•Fluent in Polish.
Nice to have:
•Experience taking applications through Meta Quest (VRC) or PlayStation VR certification.
•Knowledge of Meta Quest application distribution channels and ArborXR or other headset management systems (HMS).
•Experience working on enterprise or B2B applications.
•Experience implementing project management standards across an entire studio or PMO.
•PSPO, PSM, PMP or PRINCE2 certificate.
