Nordhealth

Principal Product Manager - Vet Treat

In short

Lead Vet Treat, the team owning core patient care workflows (consultations, clinical notes, treatments, prescriptions, inpatient treatment plans) inside Provet, a veterinary practice management software used by thousands of clinics across Europe and beyond. Nordhealth is a fast-growing, publicly listed (Euronext Growth Oslo) healthcare software company with 430+ employees and 30,000+ users across 55+ countries. The role demands 5+ years of product management experience including senior B2B software work, a track record of simplifying high-frequency professional workflows, strong UX instincts, and the ability to lead cross-functional squads through influence rather than process.

Who are we?
Nordhealth (OB:NORDH) is the leading provider of cloud-based Practice Information Management Software (PIMS) to veterinary and therapy professionals.
Over the last three years, we have grown our Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and team size by almost 10x. Today, more than 30,000 therapy and veterinary professionals use our software everyday to help treat over 20 million patients annually across 55+ countries. Our mission is to enable healthcare professionals to deliver better patient care through software, with a goal to help serve over 200 million patients by 2030. In support of this growth mission, in May 2021, Nordhealth raised €120M through a public-listing on Euronext Growth Oslo stock exchange.
Nordhealth is a remote-first company, headquartered in Helsinki, Finland. Our 430+ employees work either remotely or from offices/collaboration hubs. While our market presence is currently strongest in the Nordics, our customer base is rapidly growing in North America and Europe, with clients in the US, UK, Spain, Latin America, Australia, and many others.
About the role
Nordhealth is building the future of veterinary practice management software. Provet is used by thousands of clinics across Europe and beyond, including some of the largest veterinary groups in the world - and we're just getting started.
A vet's day is a run of consultations, back to back. In each one they examine the patient, talk a worried owner through what's happening, decide on treatment, prescribe, record it all and hand over to the front desk. Vet techs and vet nurses are doing the same dance alongside them. Every extra click, every screen that asks for the same thing twice, every set of notes finished after the last appointment, is time taken away from the animal in front of them.
That is the problem you will own: making patient care in Provet feel effortless. You'll lead Vet Treat, the team that owns the core patient care workflows that vets, techs and nurses use all day. That covers everything from the patient arriving in the room, through clinical notes, treatments and prescriptions, to managing treatment plans for hospitalized patients and handing over between shifts.
We think the answer is mostly great UX. Workflows shaped around how clinical teams actually work. Fewer steps, sensible defaults, and the right information at the right moment. And none of it at the cost of depth - less effort, same clinical power.
This is a high-visibility role with a clear goal and a hard problem behind it. Patient care is the heart of the clinical day, and it's where clinicians decide whether they love Provet or just put up with it.
What You'll Own
•Own the core patient care workflows including the consultation and inpatient treatment management, and the outcome that goes with it: less time on the software, more time with the patient. You'll be measured on how long the core clinical tasks take, and how vets and nurses rate the experience.
•Own your roadmap. You decide what your team works on, based on what you learn from customers, from the people who do this work today, and from the data.
•Lead a cross-functional squad. You'll work day to day with engineers and designers, bringing them into the problem rather than handing over specs.
•Treat clinical teams as your partners. Shadow consultations and ward rounds, run discovery with vets, techs and nurses, and put prototypes in front of them early and often.
•Work the way good product teams work. Test a hypothesis, ship something small, learn from it, go again.
•Set the bar for UX quality. Partner closely with design on research, interaction quality and consistency, and work with other product teams on shared patterns so the clinical experience feels like one joined-up product, from booking through to billing.
•Keep everyone honest - your team, your stakeholders and leadership - with a clear read on progress, risk and what you have chosen not to do.
What We're Looking For
This is a senior role and we are setting the bar high. We need someone who has made complex, high-stakes workflows simple before and does not need a run-up.
Experience
•5+ years in product management, including time at a senior level in B2B software.
•You have owned a core, high-frequency workflow used all day by professionals under time pressure, and made it measurably faster and simpler.
•You have used AI to synthesize the mountains of feedback, NPS comments and support tickets a product already has, combined it with your own lived experience and time with real users, and turned it into clear product direction.
•You have built strategy in ambiguous situations rather than executing someone else's plan.
Skills and Mindset
•High empathy for vets, vet techs and vet nurses. You design for their real day - the clinic running late, the anxious owner, the patient that won't sit still - not the ideal one.
•An instinct for ruthless simplification.
•You read workarounds as evidence. Paper notes, copy-pasted templates and records written up after hours are rarely the right answer, but they almost always point at the real gap in the product.
•A high bar for craft. You care how it feels to use, not just whether it works.
•The background and judgment to lead a team through hard technical problems. You are not the architect and you do not need to write code, but you know what good looks like well enough to steer it.
•You lead through influence and clarity rather than process, across the organization and within your own squad.
•Direct, low-ego and pragmatic.
Nice to Have
•Veterinary, healthcare or medtech software experience.
•A clinical background - vet, vet tech, vet nurse or practice manager before product.
•Experience shipping AI-assisted features.
