About the role
Saab in Luleå is undergoing an expansive and transformative scale-up, with major changes technically, organizationally and in ways of working, guided by the principle "project to product." DevOps is a central part of this journey to increase efficiency and scale operations sustainably.
In this role, you become an important part of the team responsible for our software factory and the infrastructure our developers and delivery teams need to work efficiently. Your focus is on creating a stable, automated and scalable foundation.
Main responsibilities
•Automate and scale up infrastructure to increase the organization's efficiency and capacity.
•Manage and develop virtualized environments in VMware.
•Ensure robust, stable and high-performing Linux environments.
•Develop and maintain the software factory and the tools that support development teams in their daily work.
•Collaborate with other DevOps teams that own the delivery flows and CI/CD chains to ensure efficiency throughout the chain.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with technical expertise in Linux and knowledge of automation and APIs. You thrive in an environment characterized by change and have the ability to adapt as working methods, organization and tools evolve. You are self-driven and analytical, with the ability to see how technical solutions support the organization's overall goals.
To succeed in the role, we believe you have a number of the following:
•Broad and deep experience with DevOps and platform work in Linux environments.
•Experience working with build systems, for example Gradle.
•Competence in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably with Terraform and Ansible.
•Good experience with scripting in Bash or similar tools.
•Experience with virtualization, for example in VMware or libvirt.
•Experience and interest in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git/Bitbucket.
•Experience being part of, or having driven, large technical transformations (for example migrations between different platforms and toolsets).
•Knowledge of Java or similar programming languages is an advantage.

Since our products require high security awareness, we are looking for a responsible, meticulous and structured person who ensures that security is a natural part of the entire chain, from infrastructure configuration to the software factory.
The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance regulations in force at the time. For positions where Saab has requirements on security classification, this may, where applicable, entail requirements on citizenship.
