About the Role
Do you have a strong background in network administration, hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls, and enjoy designing and troubleshooting complex network and security solutions? Then this could be the role for you! Tieto is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, configure, implement, and operate complex network and security solutions, troubleshoot network environments, and ensure their performance, reliability, and security. You will work with LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, and NGFW technologies while supporting customers and on-site engineers.
When joining Tieto Tech Consulting as a Senior Network Engineer
•Design, configure, implement, and operate complex network and security solutions
•Troubleshoot LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, and NGFW environments
•Perform patch management of network solutions
•Monitor network performance and capacity and identify opportunities for improvement
•Analyze network issues and their impact on customers' business
•Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, standards, and guidelines
•Monitor network operational status, gather and prioritize technical information, and provide reporting
•Provide remote technical support to on-site engineers and end users/customers
•Analyze technical requirements and translate them into suitable network solutions
•Proactively identify and propose improvements to services and solutions
•Stay up to date with relevant network technologies, services, and products
Requirements
•5+ years of experience in network administration
•5+ years of professional experience maintaining Cisco, Fortinet, or Check Point Next-Generation Firewall environments
•Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols and technologies, including STP, LACP, L2 security, 802.1X, OSPF, and BGP
•Solid understanding of TCP/IP stack protocols, including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, and ICMP
•Hands-on experience with wireless services, including deployment and troubleshooting
•Good understanding of VPN solutions and encryption services
•Experience with network monitoring tools and a strong understanding of network protocols
•Ability to quickly investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex network problems
•Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
•Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
•Customer-focused mindset and strong communication skills
•English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Will be an advantage
•Cisco CCNP Enterprise certification
•Fortinet NSE 4 certification
•Check Point CCSA certification
•Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP public cloud environments
•AZ-700 certification or equivalent
•Experience with Meraki cloud deployments
•Automation skills with Python, Bash scripting, APIs, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies
