About the Role
Join the Engineering team at an AI/ML company building applications that help researchers and domain experts create, review, and analyze research data. You will develop user-facing interfaces and backend services that support core research workflows.
Responsibilities
•Build interfaces for creating tasks, reviewing files and video, inspecting agent actions, and comparing experimental results.
•Develop APIs and PostgreSQL data models for tasks, reviews, files, and experiments.
•Connect applications to data pipelines and file storage with input validation, permission controls, and clear error handling.
•Work with researchers and domain experts to improve workflows, investigate bugs, and maintain performance as datasets grow.
Requirements
•At least 3 years of experience building and maintaining applications used by others, with 5 to 10 or more years preferred.
•Strong TypeScript and React skills, or Python experience with a backend framework such as FastAPI, and willingness to work across the stack.
•Experience designing APIs and working with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
•A practical approach to testing, debugging, and incorporating user feedback, along with initiative and collaborative problem-solving.
•Experience with annotation tools, research software, or large dataset exploration is valuable.
•Familiarity with AWS, S3, background jobs, or frontend testing tools is also useful.
