Responsibilities
•Define and lead the architecture of complex Android applications using Kotlin
•Guide and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code
•Design business-critical features and integration components
•Lead architectural and design discussions across teams, including product, UX, and backend
•Mentor senior and mid-level engineers on best practices and architectural principles
•Conduct code and architecture reviews, ensuring adherence to design patterns and coding standards
•Optimize applications for performance, security, and scalability
•Actively contribute to planning, estimations, and technical documentation
•Collaborate cross-functionally and with distributed teams in a fast-paced, Agile environment
Requirements
•7+ years of professional experience in Android development
•Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale Android applications in Kotlin
•Deep understanding of Android SDKs, architecture components, and mobile design patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.)
•Experience architecting business-critical and integration-heavy applications
•Proficiency in guiding the full mobile development lifecycle
•Strong ability to articulate complex technical challenges and solutions
•Self-driven, highly organized, and capable of leading technical initiatives
•Experience with Embedded Automotive systems
•Hands-on experience working with Map SDKs and Navigation solutions
•Solid experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
•Experience in tools like Jira, Confluence
•Excellent communication skills in English (Upper-Intermediate level or higher)
Nice to have
•Experience in developing Android apps for automotive Head Units
•Prior experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
•Familiarity with reactive programming (Kotlin Coroutines/Flow)
