Responsibilities
•Lead an internal team developing AI products
•Work on client projects as a subject-matter expert in a multidisciplinary team
•Make architectural and design decisions for cloud environments
•Build production-level ML/AI solutions using sound software engineering practices
•Guide Data Scientists in scaling models into production through parallelization, optimization, tuning, testing, and packaging
•Deliver training, lead internal meetings, and organize external events
•Participate in team meetings and client workshops
•Write blog articles, present at conferences, and issue press releases on the subject area being led
Requirements
•Hold an MSc-level qualification in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, or a related field
•Have 2–4 years of experience building production-quality ML/Deep Learning pipelines and models
•Understand Machine Learning fundamentals and have strong knowledge in a specific domain, such as Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or NLP
•Have expert coding skills in Python and at least one of Scala, C++, or Java
•Have hands-on experience with database management languages such as SQL or PostgreSQL
•Have hands-on experience with cloud-based infrastructures such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
•Have hands-on experience with Unix-based command lines and DevOps tools such as Git, Docker, or Kubernetes
•Have hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks
•Be strongly interested in data and AI-related topics and able to quickly build expertise in these areas
•Have experience coaching or mentoring other engineers
•Be willing to travel and work with local and international clients
•Be fluent in spoken and written English and Dutch
