About the role
IT Factory, a dynamic company with experience in the development, implementation and support of IT solutions, is seeking Candidates for a position with a major Polish company in the insurance and financial sector: Java Developer (Kafka, Spring Cloud, Angular) – fraud detection system in the claims handling area.
Responsibilities
•Building and developing systems based on microservices architecture to support claims reporting and handling processes
•Designing, implementing and maintaining APIs and integrations between systems
•Participating in the design of system solutions and implementation of functional and non-functional requirements
•Improving business processes by delivering efficient and scalable IT solutions
•Developing automated tests, applying engineering best practices and ensuring code quality
•Actively using AI tools and the Agentic AI approach during requirements analysis, implementation, testing and maintenance of solutions
•Performing and participating in code reviews using modern tools that support code quality and security
•Participating in Scrum events and collaborating in a multidisciplinary agile team
•Co-creating software development standards and standards for using AI in the software development process
•Working on large-scale systems with high transaction volumes
Requirements
•At least 5 years of experience with Java
•At least 3 years of experience with Apache Kafka
•At least 5 years of experience with Spring/Hibernate, Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
•At least 5 years of experience with SQL
•Knowledge of frameworks for unit testing (JUnit, TestNG, Spock) and integration testing (Testcontainers, WireMock)
•Knowledge of object-oriented (OOP) and functional (FP) programming paradigms
•Knowledge of application containerization
•Knowledge of process engines and BPMN notation
•Knowledge of patterns for ensuring service resilience in distributed systems
•Knowledge of Angular and experience creating frontend applications
•Ability to use AI tools in the software development process
•Knowledge of tools for diagnosing application performance
•Providing services from within Poland
•Willingness to work from the Warsaw office at least 1 day
Nice to have
•Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and experience applying it in practice
•Experience using AI agents and Agentic AI tools in software development
•Experience with cloud solutions
