About the Role
At Planck Technologies, we are recruiting a Java Backend Developer to join a Software Engineering team at a leading client in Lisbon. We are looking for a profile with solid experience in the Java ecosystem and backend application development, able to take responsibility for specific components, ensure the quality of solutions, and contribute to the evolution of architecture and system efficiency.
Responsibilities
•Take responsibility for the development and maintenance of software components, ensuring their quality, reliability, and performance.
•Develop and evolve backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
•Design, implement, and integrate REST APIs.
•Work with messaging systems and integration between applications.
•Contribute to architecture decisions and discussions, proposing efficient and scalable technical solutions.
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in defining and implementing solutions.
•Support and guide less experienced colleagues, promoting knowledge sharing.
•Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the efficiency and reliability of systems.
Requirements
•Experience with Java 17 or higher.
•Solid knowledge of Spring Boot 3 or higher.
•Experience with Spring Data JPA and Hibernate.
•Experience with AWS SQS and/or Solace.
•Development and integration of REST APIs.
•Knowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI.
•Experience with JSON and XML data formats.
Nice to Have
•Knowledge of Spring Cloud.
•Experience with GraphQL.
•Knowledge of Spring WebFlux.
