Responsibilities
•Lead, mentor, and drive execution across the Systems (Cloud First) and Network Architecture pillars
•Drive migration from legacy infrastructure to automated, software-defined environments using Infrastructure as Code
•Manage, secure, and optimize corporate and cloud networking architectures to ensure connectivity across all sites
•Partner with local IT departments across EMEA to harmonize technology stacks and infrastructure standards
•Target 99.9%+ availability for critical backend systems and manage infrastructure Incident, Problem, and Change workflows
•Manage the I&O budget, control cloud consumption using FinOps methodologies, and optimize backend hardware procurement
•Maintain, test, and evolve Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans for cloud and hybrid environments
•Partner with the CISO to embed DevSecOps security into backend systems and align with GDPR, NIS2, and European compliance mandates
Requirements
•6-8+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure
•At least 3+ years directly managing specialized backend operational teams in an international context
•Strong technical expertise in Azure, AWS, or GCP and Infrastructure as Code
•Deep understanding of enterprise networking architectures, including SD-WAN, SASE, VPNs, and firewalls
•Practical understanding of DevOps principles within the ITIL v4 framework
•ITIL v3 Foundation certification
•Highly operational and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to ensure complex backend projects are completed
•Hands-on experience with FinOps cloud cost control and backend procurement
•Full professional fluency in written and spoken English
