Genesys Hungary is home to 300+ employees, with a strong focus on Software Engineering and technology. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with the Hungary HR Lead and gain broad HR Business Partner experience in a dynamic, international technology environment.
What this role is:
As an Associate HR Business Partner / HR Generalist, you will work closely with the Hungary HR Lead to deliver a great employee and manager experience across the Hungary organization. You will coach and guide managers on day-to-day people topics, support employee relations and employee experience matters, conduct employee check-ins, manage key elements of the internship program, support recruitment efforts from an HRBP perspective and contribute to talent and leadership development activities. You will also work with people data to identify trends, understand what is happening across the organization and help translate those insights into practical actions. As part of the local HR team, you will play an important role in maintaining and further developing the strong culture and employee experience of the Hungary office.
How you'll work:
This is a broad and hands-on HR role covering different aspects of the employee lifecycle. You will be part of a collaborative local and global HR team, working closely with the Hungary HR Lead, HR Shared Services, Talent Acquisition and specialist HR teams. You will have ownership of a broad range of day-to-day HRBP activities while partnering with the Hungary HR Lead on more complex employee relations, organizational and business topics. You will be expected to build strong relationships with managers and employees, stay close to what is happening across the organization, and proactively identify where HR support can make a difference.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Partner with the Hungary HR Lead to deliver local and global HR programs and people initiatives across the Hungary organization.
•Build trusted relationships with managers and employees, providing day-to-day coaching and guidance on performance, engagement, employee relations and other people topics.
•Support employee relations (ER) cases, partnering with the Hungary HR Lead on more complex matters and ensuring alignment with Hungarian employment requirements and Genesys practices.
•Conduct employee check-ins and stay close to the employee experience, identifying emerging themes, risks and opportunities across teams.
•Work with people data to identify trends and patterns and translate them into meaningful insights and practical recommendations.
•Manage key elements of the Hungary internship program, partnering with interns, managers, mentors, Talent Acquisition and other stakeholders.
•Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring activities and provide HRBP support throughout the recruitment and selection process.
•Work closely with HR Shared Services and specialist HR teams to support employees and managers across the employee lifecycle.
•Support performance, talent and employee engagement programs, as well as leadership and manager development activities.
•Contribute to local culture, engagement, communication and community initiatives that make Genesys Hungary a great place to work.
•Support organizational changes and other people initiatives while maintaining a good working knowledge of the Hungarian employment environment.
•Ensure HR activities, documentation and follow-up are handled accurately and consistently, while working collaboratively across the global HR organization.
What you'll bring to the table:
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or another relevant field preferred.
•Approximately 3-5 years of broad HR experience, ideally in an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner or similar role.
•Practical experience handling employee relations and employee experience matters.
•Good working knowledge of the Hungarian employment environment and key employment law principles, with the ability to recognize when additional legal or specialist guidance is needed.
•Experience working directly with managers and employees on day-to-day people matters.
•Fluent in Hungarian and English. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across different levels of an organization.
•Good coaching, questioning and influencing skills, with an interest in continuing to develop these capabilities.
•Strong analytical skills and comfort working with HR data, identifying trends and drawing meaningful conclusions rather than simply reporting numbers.
•Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, particularly when working with employee information, documentation and HR processes.
•Good organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments.
•A proactive, curious and hands-on approach, comfortable taking ownership while knowing when to ask for support.
•Sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with discretion.
•Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, international and highly matrixed environment.
•Interest in employee experience, organizational culture, talent development and manager capability.
