About
Neybo is an AI companion device for kids. Unimatch Lab is an AI-agent-run venture builder with seven products across Future of Work, Longevity, Kids Universe, and Education.
Responsibilities
•Run functional and regression tests on every new firmware build
•Test devices across hardware versions, from bare boards to units close to production samples
•Run full test cycles on vendor development boards as the application layer is integrated into a unified firmware image
•Benchmark CPU performance, thermal stability and throttling, memory use and throughput, and Wi-Fi stability across frequencies and channels
•Localize defects to hardware or firmware before handing them to the appropriate team
•Test hardware codec performance across application scenarios
•Test and validate speech interaction scenarios involving wake-word, voice quality enhancement algorithms, and speech recognition running alongside other applications
•Record test results in a structured, repeatable format
•Reflash boards and operate test equipment as part of the daily testing cycle
•Use hardware debug tools and protocols, including UART, ADB, SSH, Telnet, and TFTP
•Keep pace with the firmware team's release cadence and validate each new build quickly
•Analyze running Linux processes and identify the most CPU- and memory-intensive processes under different conditions
Requirements
•2–3+ Years of hands-on hardware QA or embedded device testing experience
•Experience testing physical boards and finished devices across build iterations
•Experience regression testing firmware on real hardware
•Working knowledge of CPU, thermal, memory, and Wi-Fi benchmarks
•Comfortable with regularly reflashing boards and working directly with hardware
•Experience with headless Linux interfaces, including terminal and tmux
•Familiarity with system benchmarking tools such as top, htop, and tinymembench
•Basic skills with measurement and diagnostic equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, thermal cameras, and bench power supplies
•Experience using a serial console or JTAG to retrieve device logs and debug output
•English B2+, written and spoken
Nice to have
•Experience writing structured defect reports with reproduction steps, environment, expected and actual results
•Basic electronics knowledge for localizing issues at the hardware/firmware boundary
•Experience testing voice-interface or similar consumer IoT devices
Conditions
•Paid in USDT
•Full-time, remote B2B contract
•Remote work is possible with an equivalent hardware bench at the candidate's location; Moldova is preferred
