About
Utorg builds infrastructure for stablecoin payments, including on- and off-ramps, self-custodial wallets, and crypto cards. Its app serves over 2 million users across 130+ countries, while its B2B payment rails support more than 2,100 platforms.
Responsibilities
•Build product features end-to-end, primarily on the frontend, and make backend changes when needed
•Own the frontend of payment products and help establish shared AI workflows across the team
•Develop an embeddable crypto on/off-ramp widget with KYC, card payments with 3-D Secure, alternative payment methods, and a customer account area for multiple white-label brands
•Build hosted merchant checkout pages, from one-step checkouts to multi-step flows with KYC and compliance screens
•Develop back-office admin apps for operations, compliance, and support; replace the legacy admin with a modern-stack application
•Implement API endpoints and business logic in Java / Spring Boot services
•Own features from ticket to production, including UI, API contracts, backend changes, tests, releases, and monitoring
•Make frontend architecture decisions and drive migrations from the legacy admin and older UI libraries to the modern stack, including stricter type checks
•Build and improve AI-driven development workflows, including project context files, shared skills and commands, automated PR reviews in CI, and agent-driven end-to-end and visual checks
•Review teammates' and agents' code and maintain a high quality bar
•Work with product, design, QA, and backend engineers in a weekly release cycle
Requirements
•5+ years of commercial frontend development, including 3+ years with React + TypeScript in production
•Strong modern React skills, including server-state management, client state, forms, routing, and performance
•Comfortable working with large legacy codebases, not only greenfield projects
•Production backend experience in at least one language; able to design REST APIs, work with PostgreSQL schemas, indexes, and migrations, and ship changes in Java services
•Daily experience with agentic development using Claude Code, Codex, or a similar agent, beyond autocomplete
•Maintain project context files and create custom skills, commands, or subagents
•Connect agents to tools through MCP, such as issue trackers, GitHub, Figma, databases, and browsers
•Use a plan, implement, and verify workflow where agents demonstrate their work with tests, type checks, and browser automation
•Run agents in parallel and headless, such as an AI review bot in CI
•Critically review agent output and understand failure modes, including invented APIs, scope creep, incorrect test fixes, leaked secrets, and prompt injection
•Keep up with changes in agentic tools and incorporate effective updates into workflows
•Experience with Playwright for end-to-end tests and Vitest/Jest for unit and integration tests
•Security-minded when handling real money, personal data, auth tokens, iframes, and cross-origin messaging
•Fluent Russian and English sufficient to read and write technical texts
