We are looking for an experienced finance professional to join our team as Financial Reporting & Accounting Lead. In this role, you will combine strong accounting and reporting expertise with a passion for improving processes, strengthening governance, and creating transparency across financial reporting and controls. Working closely with the Finance and Business Performance Manager, you will act as a trusted sparring partner on accounting, reporting, audit, governance, and compliance matters. As the functional lead for our Controlling team, you will play a key role in strengthening the foundations of our Finance function and supporting its continued development.
This role is based in Taastrup and requires on-site presence 4 days a week.

A role with influence, but without people management
As Financial Reporting & Accounting Lead, you will serve as the functional lead for our Controlling team. While formal people management remains with the Finance and Business Performance Manager, you will act as the technical expert and professional coordinator across accounting, reporting, audit, compliance, and financial controls. You will be a key point of contact for colleagues and stakeholders on complex accounting and reporting matters, helping to ensure consistency, quality, and strong financial governance across the Finance function. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with meaningful influence on how Finance operates and evolves.
Responsibilities
•Acting as the functional lead and subject matter expert for accounting, reporting, and financial control activities
•Coordinating month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
•Ensuring high-quality statutory and Group reporting
•Acting as the primary coordinator for internal and external audits
•Supporting the continued development of financial governance, compliance, and internal controls
•Being backup and support for the current specialist with tax-related activities
•Driving improvements in reporting quality, transparency, and process efficiency
•Supporting business continuity by reducing key-person dependencies and strengthening documentation and controls
•Working closely with Finance colleagues and business stakeholders to improve financial transparency, reporting quality, and decision-making
Requirements
You are an experienced finance professional with a strong accounting, reporting, or audit background. You enjoy understanding what sits behind the numbers and are motivated by creating structure, improving processes, and strengthening financial governance. You combine technical expertise with curiosity, professional skepticism, and a pragmatic approach, and you see complexity and change as an opportunity rather than a challenge.
We imagine that you:
•Hold a HD, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
•Have 7+ years of experience within accounting, financial reporting, controlling, audit, or a similar finance function
•Bring strong technical accounting and reporting expertise, supported by a solid understanding of IFRS, statutory reporting, internal controls, and financial governance
•Have experience from a Big Four firm or a similar audit environment — a strong advantage
•Have a strong audit and compliance mindset combined with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach
•Are naturally curious and enjoy understanding what is really happening behind the numbers, processes, and reporting outcomes
•Enjoy investigating complex issues, challenging assumptions, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions
•Thrive in environments where there is an opportunity to improve processes, strengthen controls, and create greater structure, consistency, and transparency
•Are motivated by driving meaningful improvements rather than simply maintaining the status quo
•Bring the resilience and determination required to work through complex challenges and deliver lasting results
