About the Role
We are looking for a Financial Lines Underwriter to join our Middle Market team in Copenhagen.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious candidate who wants to develop within a specialized commercial insurance area. The position suits someone with strong analytical skills, commercial curiosity, and a proactive approach and interest in building long-term relationships internally and externally. The position is primarily aimed at recent graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of underwriting experience within Financial Lines.
You will become part of our Middle Market team, which works across Denmark and Norway.
The role will involve underwriting of D&O, crime insurance and similar products, structuring and managing facilities, handling risk assessment, preparing individual quotes and negotiating with brokers, as well as close collaboration on renewals with our colleagues in the underwriting center in Madrid.
The position reports to the Head of Middle Market Denmark & Norway.
Key Responsibilities
•Underwriting of Financial Lines business in the Danish and Norwegian Middle Market segment
•Assessing and pricing risks within Chubb's appetite with particular focus on D&O and crime insurance
•Preparing quotes for new and existing business, as well as negotiating with brokers
•Managing facilities – both in the quote phase and ongoing servicing
•Building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and partners
•Supporting portfolio management and contributing to profitable growth
•Contributing to the development and marketing of Chubb's Financial Lines solutions in Denmark and Norway
Qualifications
•HA(jur.)/Cand.merc.(jur.) or HA/cand.merc. with strong interest in insurance and liability law
•1–2 years of experience in Financial Lines underwriting is an advantage, but not a requirement
•Strong analytical skills and good problem-solving abilities
•Confident communicator with good negotiation skills
•Fluent in Danish and English; knowledge of Norwegian is an advantage
•Independent, ambitious and proactive
•Well-organized with strong process and structure competencies
•A service-minded team player with a positive and solution-oriented approach
