Finance manager in cycling

In short

Finance Manager role at a startup-mode cycling bike company (FELT), owning accounting, inventory/COGS, budgeting, forecasting and board reporting across Spanish and U.S. subsidiaries, reporting directly to the Managing Director. Requires 5+ years in finance/accounting/controlling with startup or scale-up experience, strong Spanish GAAP knowledge, ERP skills, and fluent English and Spanish. Hybrid role based in the Barcelona office.

About
FELT has built some of the fastest bikes in road, triathlon and gravel racing. We are now building the company behind them, in startup mode, with a lean team in Barcelona and North America. We are looking for a Finance Manager to own the numbers across both businesses and turn them into decisions. This is a hands-on role. You will close the books, and you will also sit next to the Managing Director when we decide pricing, investments and where the next euro or dollar goes.
Responsibilities
•Oversee daily accounting: journal entries, bank reconciliations, AP/AR
•Validate supplier invoices (logistics, marketing agencies, component manufacturers)
•Own inventory valuation, landed cost and monthly stock reconciliation with Supply Chain
•Coordinate external accountants and tax advisors in Spain and the U.S., including intercompany documentation and statutory filings
•Produce monthly dashboards: sales, margins, cash, inventory turns
•Explain variances vs. budget (freight, FX, margin by bike model)
•Track profitability by product family: road, triathlon, gravel
•Prepare consolidated P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
•Run the annual budget and rolling forecasts for revenue, OPEX and cash
•Model pricing scenarios for launches and promotions
•Manage weekly cash flow forecasts and payment runs, and flag risks early
•Improve ERP workflows and automate reporting and reconciliations
•Prepare board materials and investor reporting
•Manage relationships with banks, auditors and advisors
Requirements
•5+ years in finance, accounting or controlling, with startup or scale-up experience
•Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business
•Strong command of Spanish GAAP (PGC)
•Solid inventory and COGS accounting
•Advanced Excel and financial modeling
•ERP experience (Business Central, NetSuite or similar)
•Fluent English and Spanish
•Hands-on, organized, comfortable owning things end to end with little structure around you
Nice to have
•Master's, CPA or ACCA a plus
•IFRS and US GAAP experience a plus
Conditions
•A high-impact role reporting directly to the Managing Director
•Ownership of finance across two international subsidiaries
•The chance to build the finance function, not just run it
•Hybrid and on-site work, Barcelona office
