Alfa Laval

Field Service Teamleader / Coordinator (m/w/d) Separationstechnik

In short

This role leads a Field Service team of 8 employees for separation technology across the D-A-CH region, covering deployment planning, administrative tasks, and acting as the interface between service technicians and sales. The company is Alfa Laval, a long-established industrial technology company serving energy, food, water and marine sectors. The position requires prior experience in disciplinary/functional leadership and technical coordination, a technical and commercial training background, and reports directly to the Field Service Manager DACH. Fluent German and good English are required, with up to 40% mobile working possible.

Who are you?
You enjoy finding solutions for all challenges that arise in a dynamic work environment, for and with your team colleagues. You use your organizational talent and your strong communication skills.
You want to actively help shape the Field Service area, especially regarding how our technicians are perceived in the market as "Service Advisors" — i.e., competent consultants. This happens through targeted competence development of your team and a focus on contemporary and sustainable service offerings.
The topic of digitalization is not foreign to you, and you contribute to advancing it in your area.
What does the job involve?
In this role, you currently hold the functional and disciplinary leadership of a Field Service team of 8 employees for separation technology. You are responsible for deployment planning for your team across the entire D-A-CH region, as well as the related administrative tasks, such as individual time billing.
You are the interface between the service technicians and the sales team. We have big plans and are looking for a personality who, initially, shapes both the day-to-day business and the changes with great commitment. As these changes progress, day-to-day business will move more into the background while disciplinary leadership tasks gain more weight. You will get to know a team with strong technical expertise and report directly to the Field Service Manager DACH.
What do you bring?
You already have experience in functional and disciplinary leadership as well as technical coordination. Your foundation is a technical and commercial training background; practical experience in the separation field is desirable. You bring high motivation for continuous improvement — you want to drive things forward and put strategies into practice. To be successful in this role, we expect strong communication skills and ideally experience in employee management. You are a strong team player while also possessing persuasiveness and assertiveness. You convince through your coordination and organizational talent and approach situations with clarity and commitment to find the best possible solution. Even in phases of higher workload, you maintain your composure and strong prioritization skills. Very good German skills, good English skills, experience working with various IT systems, and interest in collaborating with our international colleagues round off your profile.
