About the team
We are looking for a person who wants to work on interesting and complex accounting issues, be close to new business initiatives, and have a real impact on the solutions applied in the Bank.
Your tasks
•You analyze new business initiatives, products, and complex and non-standard transactions in terms of their impact on accounting and financial reporting
•You interpret IFRS guidelines and develop practical accounting solutions for new or unusual issues
•You monitor and analyze changes in accounting standards, assess their impact on the Bank, and participate in their implementation
•You work on issues related to financial instruments, in particular IFRS 9 and IAS 39, including hedge accounting
•You actively cooperate with ING Group experts, exchange experience, and agree on approaches to key and complex accounting issues
•You ensure that local solutions and interpretations are consistent with ING Group's accounting policies and approach, while taking into account local business and regulatory conditions
•You cooperate with various areas of the Bank in the implementation of projects and new business initiatives
•You support the translation of developed accounting solutions into processes and/or create appropriate system solutions
Our expectations
•You use English at a level allowing free work with standards, documentation, and cooperation in an international environment
•You navigate accounting standards proficiently
•You have practical experience in interpreting accounting standards and translating their requirements into specific solutions
•You have experience in implementing accounting standards or changes in standards in the banking sector
•You know issues related to financial instruments, with particular emphasis on IFRS 9 and IAS 39
•You can analyze complex and non-standard transactions and formulate clear conclusions regarding their accounting treatment
