About the role
For an international financial services organisation, we're looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to help move teams from Jenkins to GitLab and improve how they build, secure and deploy software. You'll join an international Development Services team responsible for standardising platforms, pipelines and developer tooling. Your work will support product teams across multiple regions, making software delivery more consistent, secure and easier to manage.
Tasks
•Migrate repositories and pipelines from Bitbucket, Jenkins, AWS CodeCommit and CodePipeline to GitLab.
•Develop reusable pipeline templates, GitLab standards and practical guidance.
•Select and integrate enterprise tooling, including artifact repositories, security scanners and observability tools.
•Embed SAST, DAST and dependency scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
•Support secure deployments on OpenShift and AWS.
•Apply trunk-based development, feature toggles and clear merge request standards.
•Build pipelines that meet internal controls and provide evidence for audits.
•Guide development teams through onboarding and migration, sharing knowledge through workshops and training.
Requirements
•Your strongest skills are GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins-to-GitLab migration and AWS.
•You have personally built and improved pipelines, and can explain the technical decisions behind your work.
•Strong Git knowledge and experience with modern branching strategies.
•Automation skills in Python and/or Bash.
•Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
•An understanding of security controls within CI/CD.
•Experience working in a complex enterprise environment.
•Clear communication skills and the confidence to support teams across regions.
•A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
Conditions
You'll have a direct influence on the tools and pipelines used across multiple development teams. The role combines technical ownership with close collaboration: you'll build the solutions and help engineers put them into practice.
