Responsibilities
•Enable efficient consumption of domain data as a product by delivering and promoting strategically designed actionable datasets and data models
•Build, maintain, and improve data pipelines using a broad range of technologies
•Support teams without data engineers in building decentralised data solutions and product integrations
•Build data pipelines in the Lakehouse using Medallion architecture
•Promote the value of data and the data platform among engineering teams and enable cooperation
•Work with product teams to identify opportunities to integrate data into end products and streamline source data
•Follow and promote data mesh principles around decentralised data ownership and "data as a product"
•Promote and uphold privacy-by-design principles and ensure sensitive data complies with security and privacy standards
•Increase data literacy across the engineering organisation through training and mentoring engineers
•Advance agentic systems for data engineering by creating specialised skills and agents
Requirements
•2+ years of experience building complex data pipelines and working with technical and business stakeholders
•Strong SQL skills and ability to write efficient, readable code
•Familiarity with Medallion architecture
•Experience designing for scale and data growth in storage and performance
•Business and product understanding and ability to deal with ambiguity
•Track record of delivering successful data projects and managing their lifecycle
•Ability to build understandable and maintainable Python applications
•Experience with cloud data technologies such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Redshift, Spark, Trino, Iceberg, or Airflow
•Experience working with analytics teams and translating business terms and KPIs into technical requirements
•Experience defining and measuring data quality, such as with Monte Carlo or Great Expectations
•Excellent written and verbal English proficiency
•Must be based in Poland
Nice to have
•Knowledge and curiosity about other big data technologies and tools
•Familiarity with Claude Code and/or Cursor, skills and AI agents
