About the role:
FlixTrain aims to make train travel in Germany better, more environmentally friendly and more accessible. We are growing rapidly, as is our ambition to make every decision data-driven. That is why we are building something new: a central, in-house Data Analytics team at FlixTrain. You will be among the first members of this team, which means real responsibility, real influence and the opportunity to shape our work with data from day one.
Responsibilities:
•Together with our business departments, develop end-to-end analytics solutions with Power BI, Snowflake, Python and Git, laying the foundation for data-driven decisions.
•Act as the point of contact for the Operations data area, translating complex questions into meaningful analyses, dashboards and recommendations for action, and support other areas of the company during the team's setup phase.
•Continuously develop and automate data pipelines and reporting processes and integrate external data sources into the data warehouse.
•In close collaboration with the Data and Engineering teams, be responsible for the entire lifecycle of your analytics solutions—from data modeling, testing and visualization through to production operations.
•Maintain high quality standards, clear documentation and reliable KPI models, ensuring data products can be used as a "Single Source of Truth".
Requirements:
•Successfully completed degree in business information systems, computer science, data science, mathematics or statistics, or a comparable qualification.
•At least two years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Analytics Engineer or in a comparable analytical role.
•Very good knowledge of SQL, Python and Git, as well as experience creating dashboards and reports with Power BI.
•Analytical thinking, a good understanding of business contexts, and a structured and independent way of working.
•Very good German and English skills (at least C1 level) and enjoy collaborating with different stakeholders.
