About the Role
Tech Tide is looking for an experienced independent cloud engineer with an architecture mindset for a long-term project in Portugal. You will be contracted directly by Tech Tide as a freelancer (B2B) – this is not a permanent position. Tech Tide is a Portugal-based technology company delivering Cloud, AI and Robotics projects for companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Responsibilities
•Lead the migration of business-critical applications to AWS
•Build tools and frameworks for platform deployment and management
•Own scalability, high availability, monitoring, backup and restore
•Create and optimise automated build and deployment pipelines
•Set technical standards and enable several development teams
Requirements
•Several years of hands-on experience with AWS in complex environments
•Kubernetes, Terraform and AWS CDK
•Solid knowledge of networking, security and automation
•Fluent English
•Based in Portugal, ideally in the Lisbon area
Nice to Have
•Portuguese is a plus
•A background in transport, logistics, automation or robotics is a strong advantage
Conditions
•Freelance / B2B contract directly with Tech Tide
•Full-time engagement, start as soon as possible
•Initial term of approx. 12 months with strong extension potential
