About Paddle
Paddle offers digital product companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, Paddle is a Merchant of Record for its customers, taking away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. Paddle is backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serves over 10,000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.
We are looking for a smart, ambitious, and autonomous Business Development Representative to help fuel our next stage of hyper-growth. This is an exciting time to join the team: our customer base is expanding globally, our product is evolving fast, and our sales engine is scaling like never before.
As a BDR in our Business Development team, you will be the first point of contact for all of Paddle's sales efforts. You'll create demand, spark meaningful conversations, and build early relationships that turn into qualified pipeline to arm your counterparts on the Account Executive team. Your core tasks will involve researching, prospecting, prioritizing accounts, educating prospects, and converting interest into high-quality meetings. This role places you at the centre of a high-performing GTM function. Once you consistently hit quota and master the craft, you'll have a clear pathway to grow into an Account Executive role at Paddle.
Responsibilities
•Quickly develop a deep understanding of Paddle's Ideal Customer Profile, core use cases, and value propositions to target the best-fit companies.
•Own and properly manage a healthy territory of high-fit accounts.
•Proactively generate conversations and effectively showcase Paddle's set of products across all channels: LinkedIn, cold calling, email, video, and region-specific channels (WhatsApp, WeChat, etc.).
•Convert these meaningful engagements into qualified opportunities for the Account Executive team.
•Partner with the marketing department to collaborate on in-person and virtual events to generate demand.
•Use modern tools, including AI-powered workflows, to work smarter, personalise outreach, and improve performance.
•Manage and prioritise time to consistently meet and exceed targets.
•Bring a winner's mindset and high-performance attitude to the team every day.
Requirements
•Experience in a previous Sales / Business Development role as part of a SaaS or B2B company, and comfortable proactively engaging new customers through email and phone.
•Coachable, accountable, and consistent in efforts to develop knowledge and results.
•Believe in a consultative and human sales approach and understand that every conversation is different.
•Performance-driven, competitive, and energised by hitting and surpassing targets.
•See the benefits of Paddle's set of products and can articulate their value, being passionate about Paddle.
•Can stay organised in a dynamic, fast-changing environment and thrive in moments of ambiguity.
•Can follow a framework, while bringing own flavour and creativity.
•Excited to get outside their comfort zone, experiment, and continuously improve their craft.
•Confident communicating across multiple channels and formats: phone, email, video, social.
•Enthusiastic and ambitious, with a desire to build a career in sales.
Benefits
Full suite of benefits, including attractive salaries, stock options, unlimited holidays, enhanced parental leave, retirement plans, private healthcare and well-being initiatives. Investment in learning via constant exposure to new challenges, an annual learning fund, and regular internal and external training.
