About the Role
Are you an experienced Java Software Engineer who enjoys taking technical ownership, leading projects and working directly with clients? You could be progressing your career at a global technology consultancy, working on complex, long-term transformation projects, primarily within the financial services sector.
Responsibilities
•Leading technical projects and client engagements from design through to delivery
•Developing scalable Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices
•Modernising and migrating legacy systems to AWS
•Designing and working with REST APIs and distributed systems
•Introducing and improving CI/CD and DevOps practices
•Providing technical expertise and guidance to clients and engineering teams
Requirements
•Experience within a financial services or Fintech environment
•Strong Java development skills including multi-threading and concurrency
•Experience with Spring Boot and microservices environments
•Strong experience with Kafka
•Good knowledge of REST APIs
•Good understanding of AWS
•Thorough understanding of software development and Computer Science fundamentals such as Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Design Patterns
•Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines
•Collaborative, enjoys problem solving and interacting with clients
