Work on backend services that integrate with internal AI services.
What you will do
•Complete real backlog tasks, starting with small tickets under mentor code review.
•Build and support REST APIs and add features to existing services.
•Fix bugs, write unit tests, and create SQL queries and simple PostgreSQL changes.
•Use Docker for local development and help maintain CI/CD pipelines.
•Learn service communication through Kafka or RabbitMQ and implement a simple producer or consumer.
•Connect to internal AI services, check response speed, participate in code reviews, and update technical documentation while collaborating with product, data, and DevOps teams.
Requirements
•Basic Python, including functions, OOP, data structures, and error handling; Java, C#, or C++ is also accepted. Course projects count.
•Basic knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and OOP, with the ability to explain at least one SOLID principle.
•Understanding of REST APIs, including HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON.
•Basic SQL knowledge, including joins, simple indexes, and transactions; PostgreSQL is a plus.
•Daily use of Git, including branches, commits, and pull requests.
•Basic understanding of testing and unit tests.
•Willingness to learn, accept feedback, search for answers independently first, and finish started work.
Nice to have
•Experience with FastAPI, Docker, or CI/CD.
•Understanding of message queues or experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
•Understanding of monoliths, microservices, caching, and load balancing.
•Knowledge of design patterns such as Factory, Strategy, or Observer, and openness to learning DDD.
•Experience using an AI model API or running a model locally in a project.
