LawX has a small, fast-moving engineering team working to bridge the gap between AI-driven development speed and the quality standards required for production systems. The team builds for an underserved industry in Europe in a security-critical, compliance-aware environment.
Задачи
•Implement, review, and refactor backend code, focusing on product standards, integration, maintainability, and production readiness
•Design and enforce backend architecture standards in Java and Python
•Implement security best practices
•Set quality standards through code reviews, testing standards, and engineering documentation
•Contribute to architecture decisions and help build scalable systems
•Set the quality standard for a small, high-output engineering team
•Own backend quality and production readiness
Требования
•5+ Years building and operating production backend systems
•Java (Spring Boot) as the primary language
•Confidently read, review, and refactor Python code
•Experience improving code quality in fast-moving environments and improving inherited codebases
•PostgreSQL knowledge, including query optimization, indexing, transactions, and migrations
•Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including retries, idempotency, concurrency, async processing, and resilience patterns
•Strong security mindset, including OAuth2/OIDC, Spring Security, OWASP principles, and privacy-by-design
•Strong CI/CD and testing culture; able to write tests and ensure others write tests
•Ability to bring structure and standards to a fast-moving codebase
•Excellent written and spoken English
